Laura is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), providing expert breastfeeding support to families at HealthPark Pediatrics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After becoming a mother in 2016 and experiencing firsthand the impact that a lactation consultant can have by overcoming her own breastfeeding challenges, she has been passionate about assisting new parents to feel empowered in their feeding journeys. She first assisted families as an inpatient Mother/Baby nurse, then obtained her IBCLC in 2019. Since then, she has been providing individualized care to a wide range of patients and has a passion for helping parents find the feeding plan that works best for their family.
With a compassionate and evidence-based approach, Laura helps navigate common breastfeeding challenges, including latch difficulties, milk supply concerns, pumping, and returning to work. She is dedicated to empowering families with the knowledge and support their needs to meet their feeding goals.
Laura offers individualized care tailored to each family’s unique needs and works closely with the pediatric team to ensure comprehensive support for both parents and babies. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and judgement-free environment where families feel heard, supported, and confident in their feeding journey.
